On the morning of November 6, the Signing Ceremony for the Cooperation Agreement between NEU and Baoshan University was held at Baoshan University. Yang Guoliang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Baoshan University, Chu Yuanhui, President of Baoshan University, Guo Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee of NEU, and Jiang Yuyuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Head of the Organization Department of NEU attended the ceremony. Leaders from Baoshan University and heads of relevant departments as well as heads of relevant departments from NEU attended the event.
Chu Yuanhui stated that although NEU and Baoshan University are separated by thousands of miles, their shared sense of responsibility and pursuit for education have closely linked the two parties. As a university designated under the National "Double First-Class" Initiative, NEU has accumulated extensive experience in undergraduate education and teaching evaluation, discipline development, and talent cultivation. It's hoped that NEU can provide guidance and support in areas such as evaluation preparation, discipline and major construction, scientific research, and talent cultivation, thereby helping Baoshan University continuously enhance its educational standards and achieve high-quality development.
Guo Hai pointed out that Baoshan University, with its unique geographical location, has made significant contributions to serving frontier development, promoting ethnic unity, and supporting the local economy. The two universities share a common mission and similar vision. It's hoped that both parties can deepen collaboration in talent development, achieve precise alignment in academic disciplines, engage in joint research efforts, and foster mutual empowerment in faculty development. Together, both parties will better serve national strategies and economic and social development, making new contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
At the ceremony, both parties signed the "Cooperation Framework Agreement between NEU and Baoshan University." Under the agreement, both parties will engage in in-depth cooperation in areas including talent development and exchange, discipline and program development, collaborative research projects, faculty enhancement, and joint advancement of support initiatives.
