Recently, the 2025 Chinese University Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, hosted by the Chinese University Sports Federation, concluded at Haihua Island in Danzhou City, Hainan Province. As the highest-level and most influential competition in the field of rhythmic gymnastics for college students in China, the championships attracted 43 teams and over 500 athletes from across the country to compete on the same stage, setting a record for most participants.
Making their debut at the competition, NEU's rhythmic gymnastics team lived up to expectations. The nine athletes demonstrated solid technical skills, tenacious fighting spirit, and seamless teamwork in the face of intense competition. They ultimately broke through to secure 4th place in the team total score, 5th place in the group Level 9 ball routine, 5th place in the group Level 9 shawl routine, 5th place in the individual club routine, 6th place in the individual ribbon routine, 7th place in the individual ball routine, 8th place in the individual ribbon routine, 8th place in the individual ball routine, and the Sportsmanship Award.
The NEU rhythmic gymnastics team will use this competition as an opportunity to thoroughly review their performance, address areas for improvement, continuously refine their techniques and strengthen team cohesion. They will continue to showcase the competitive excellence of NEU on future stages.
