On the evening of June 20, NEU held Original Chinese Compositions Concert featuring AI and two-piano, presenting a feast blending art and technology for nearly 500 audiences.

At the concert, Associate Professor Li Yufeng of NEU and Associate Professor Dong Panpan of the Shenyang Conservatory of Music captivated the audiences with their composition “Red Bloodline.” The work took two pianos as the carrier, integrated AI technology and robot drumming, and ingeniously interwove the school song of NEU with the melody of "Dong Fang Hong", vividly presenting the vitality of the red spirit. The "Die Yi" duo’s performance of "Ambush on All Sides" was equally stunning. The passionate duet piano performance reproduced the grandeur of the ancient battlefield like the sounds of warhorses and swords. The sounds were impressive and powerful, as if transporting the audiences into the intense battlefield of the Chu-Han struggle. "Moonlight over Crystal Springs" was rejuvenated through a harmonious performance. "Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake" and "Silver Clouds Chasing the Moon" outlined the poetic atmosphere of the East. "Happy Nagging" fully showcased the dynamic charm of ethnic music.

The profound heritage of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the talent advantage of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and the innovative engineering characteristics of NEU complemented the in-depth achievements of the "Die Yi" duo in the field of dual pianos. This concert empowered art with AI, allowing teachers and students to immerse themselves in the beauty of the integration of technology and music, and enhancing their aesthetic and innovative abilities. In the future, all parties will deepen cooperation, carry out more innovative art activities, promote the development of original Chinese music, and inject new vitality into aesthetic education in colleges and universities.

It is reported that the "Die Yi" duo, founded by Associate Professors Li Shiwei and Dong Haizhu from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2009, has been used in the two-piano field for over a decade, integrating performance, teaching and composition. By holding concerts and conducting professional lectures, NEU continuously promotes the popularization of two-piano art and strives to become an industry benchmark with our exquisite skills and professional standards.
